Jen Tucker

When Jen was six-years-old, she penned her first book, The Horrible Substitute Teacher. Little did she know that her six-page novel about a first-grader’s bad day would one day steer her towards a career in education, publishing, video production and advertising.

Jen’s role at Dearing Group is to help clients discover their message and connect with their audience through fresh and engaging media. A proud graduate of Purdue University, Jen writes short films, commercials and content for a diverse portfolio of clients.

Jen lives with her saintly husband, Mike, their three moxie-filled children and two flight-risk golden retrievers.

Quick Q&As with Jen:

Who is someone you admire, and why?

I’m a big fan of youth who see someone in need, lead the charge, and change the world.

What’s your biggest pet peeve?

Folding a load of white laundry gets on my last nerve; not even kidding. It’s so boring! Give me a basket filled to the brim with fuchsia and teal any day of the week.

What is your favorite brand/commercial?

The Shout stain remover commercial featuring a guy in an interview wearing a button down with a glaring, talking stain front and center. That’s funny stuff, right?

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve ever done?

When I was nine-years-old, I spit off the top of the Eiffel Tower (Paris, France not King’s Island or Las Vegas) with my dad, much to my mother’s chagrin.

What flavor of ice cream could you simply not live without?

That’s like asking me to pick my favorite child, because I’m a non-denominational ice cream lover, yet I’ll go with Friendly’s Double Chocolate ice cream.
