While studying Public Relations and Strategic Communication at Purdue University, Emily discovered her passion for digitally-focused writing. She now brings that knowledge and knack for technology to Team DG.
Digital ads and webpage copy often find their start in Emily’s mind. She makes ideas unfold into strategic, compelling stories, pulling in readers and conveying brand-centric messages. Emily believes the cornerstone of a great brand is authenticity, and she works to convey clients’ unique voices in every editorial and social media snippet she writes.
When she’s not writing up pieces for Dearing, Emily lends her talents to local organizations like the League of Women Voters and LTHC Homeless Services.

List 3 words that describe you.
Caring, witty and dedicated.
What words of wisdom changed your life?
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed it is the only thing that ever has.” -Margaret Mead
These words resonate with me for so many reasons. It’s the very notion our nation was founded upon. But I also see it play out in the work our clients do and the energy in DG’s office. When we invest in the people around us and set our minds to a mission, there is nothing we cannot achieve.
Who is someone you admire?
I admire my parents. They exemplify how to care for others and why it’s important to invest in your family and community. They always show up and put in the work, and that’s the kind of person I hope to be.
People would be surprised if they knew:
I’m a huge race fan. Dirt track, IndyCar, F1, you name it.
What is the best vacation you’ve ever taken?
I spent a winter in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The 90-degree weather and sunny beaches were a nice alternative to Indiana’s chilliness!
