POSITION – Sr. content Strategist

The Sr. Content Strategist will collaborate closely with the account team, Creative Director and creative team to plan and execute relevant content that drives client brands forward. The Sr. Content Strategist must be able to create and direct strategic content that can inform, entertain, inspire and engage audiences.

 

In addition to having top-notch writing and editing skills, the Sr. Content Strategist must have excellent client-facing skills and be able to guide and teach new talent. SEO and web analytics knowledge are a plus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Research audience content preferences and trends
  • Develop content plan and calendar for agency clients
  • Generate content and copy
  • Manage in-house and outside copy/content team
  • Oversee style and tone for all content
  • Edit/proof copy and content
  • Conduct periodic content audits
  • Meet/communicate with clients regarding content strategy and execution
  • Collaborate with production manager to develop and execute project schedules

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communication or related field
  • 5+ years industry experience/portfolio of work
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills
  • Strong written/oral communication and proofing skills
  • Professional and welcoming demeanor in working with both clients and co-workers
  • Flexibility to seamlessly adjust to changing project scopes, priorities and dates

REPORTS TO: Creative Director

 

FSLA STATUS: Full-time/Exempt

 

HOURS PER WEEK: 40

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: To perform the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required with or without reasonable accommodation to sit, stand, bend and reach with manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, copiers, telephones and other office equipment. May require lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
